A large country farmhouse property undergoing gradual upgrading, over a 10 year period. The garden has been developed alongside the ongoing building work, giving all the different elements, such as the natural pond, time to progress.
From the starting point of a farmyard and field, the site has been developed into an impressive, moorland garden. Due to the exposed position of the house, careful thought has been given to the planting, to ensure the garden is in keeping with its surroundings. Also to ensure plants survive the extreme weather conditions.
All the retaining walls are now clothed with ivies and other climbers, to reduce the stark appearance of the gritstone.
